What I charge and why is on the gigs board’s public pages: rates, with the evidence behind each number, and packages, the same packages as below.
Fixed scope, fixed price, and a delivery date. Each package below is a piece of work I have done before on a production product. Tell me which tier fits and I will tell you honestly if your job is larger than it looks.
Claude Code agent workflows for your team
Your repository, ready for AI agents to work in it safely: skills that hold your conventions, hooks that gate what an agent may change, a work-packet shape that scopes a task, and a review lane that catches what an agent misses.
| Tier | Price | Scope | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $650 | One repository. Conventions file, three skills, and a commit gate. A 45-minute handover call. | 5 days |
| Standard | $1,900 | Plus hooks, the packet and review lane, and two tasks run end to end with you watching. | 10 days |
| Premium | $4,500 | Up to four repositories, plus headless agents in CI and a written playbook. | 21 days |
I work this way every day on a production Swift and TypeScript product, and I built the control plane that runs the agents.
A Swift, SwiftUI or Electron bug, fixed
One reproducible bug, diagnosed and fixed, with a test that fails before the fix and passes after it, and a written explanation of the cause.
| Tier | Price | Scope | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $300 | One bug in one screen or file. | 2 days |
| Standard | $700 | One bug across several modules, with the test and a write-up. | 4 days |
| Premium | $1,400 | A crash or data-loss bug, plus the guard that stops it returning. | 7 days |
A server-side Swift API
A working service: routes, Postgres, migrations, authentication, an OpenAPI contract, tests, and a Dockerfile that builds on Linux. Vapor or Hummingbird.
| Tier | Price | Scope | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $1,500 | Up to 6 endpoints, one entity, tests and a Dockerfile. | 10 days |
| Standard | $4,000 | Up to 20 endpoints, authentication, migrations, an OpenAPI contract and CI. | 21 days |
| Premium | $8,500 | Plus deployment, a generated client SDK, and two weeks of support. | 35 days |
Your own deploy platform, off the cloud bill
Dokku on your box or a cheap VPS, HTTPS through a Cloudflare tunnel with no public IP needed, a git-push deploy, CI runners, and nightly backups with a restore you have watched work.
| Tier | Price | Scope | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $900 | One box, up to 3 apps, HTTPS and git-push deploy. | 5 days |
| Standard | $2,500 | Plus CI runners, backups with a tested restore, and health monitoring. | 12 days |
| Premium | $5,000 | Plus single sign-on in front of the apps and a written runbook. | 21 days |
I run exactly this: 25 apps on one Orange Pi, a self-hosted git forge, CI on two architectures, and backups I have restored from.
Embedded firmware and connected hardware
Firmware for ESP32 or Arduino, sensors read and calibrated, and the bridge that carries the readings to a phone, a server or a dashboard. I hold two engineering degrees in electronics, and I have shipped both the board side and the app that talks to it.
| Tier | Price | Scope | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $800 | One device: firmware for a sensor or actuator, wired and calibrated, with the readings on a serial or Bluetooth channel. | 7 days |
| Standard | $2,200 | Plus a network bridge (MQTT, HTTP or BLE), over-the-air updates, and a simple dashboard or app view. | 14 days |
| Premium | $5,500 | A product-shaped build: board bring-up, power behaviour, a tested firmware release process, and the companion app or service. | 30 days |
Past work: engine sensor firmware, a tiered MQTT bridge from ESP32 hardware to local rules, Bluetooth peripherals and external accessories in the PollPad poll book used by most US counties.
CI that tells the truth
A pipeline that builds, tests, reports coverage, caches so it stays fast, and fails fast when it should. GitHub Actions, Forgejo, or a self-hosted runner.
| Tier | Price | Scope | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $500 | Build and test on every push, with a status badge. | 3 days |
| Standard | $1,200 | Plus coverage, a test report, caching and a fail-fast gate. | 7 days |
| Premium | $2,600 | Plus multi-architecture release builds and a deploy step. | 14 days |
How I work
- Half up front on anything over $1,500. The rest on delivery.
- A paid Basic tier is the trial. I do not do unpaid test tasks.
- If the scope grows, I say so before I start, not after.
- You get the code, the tests, and a written account of what I did.
Email [email protected] with the package name and what you are building.
